Day 5 (August 17, 2016)

No swim this morning. We left early to have breakfast in Thunder Bay. The weather is wonderful. We do a stop at the grocery store and, on my side, I go to have a pedicure… We will meet my cousin at his house and after that go for lunch with him. Gilles had been living in Northern Ontario for more than 20 years and it is my second visit. The first one was in 1999 when they lived in Marathon and I was then driving alone to Saskatoon. We meet his daughter Gabrielle who is getting ready for work. She was not born at my first visit! Gilles takes us to an indian restaurent and after that he takes us around town. The French school where he works is very nice and we see his wife who is between meetings (she is the Education Director for the school board). We go up Mount McKay and have a wonderful view on the town and the bay. We had fun with my cousin. They do not have much visitors and Gilles is glad we stopped by.

We arrive at the provincial park Aaron few kilometers before Dryden. The road is a bit boring to get there but a lot less hilly. The park is nice but our camping spot not so interesting. Our neighbours are busy getting their satellite signal. They may watch the Olympics in their big trailer tonight! At it is still early, we go for a bike ride around the park. There is a dam and a nice lake.
